The NIHR School for Social Care Research’s Annual Conferences bring together researchers, policy-makers, managers, commissioners, providers, people who use services, carers and practitioners, among others to discuss adult social care research and practice.
Our 2021 Conference will provide an opportunity to hear about new studies and emerging evidence from across NIHR SSCR’s commissioned studies and their implications for adult social care practice. The Conference will feature contributions from experts and practice colleagues in the adult social care field.
Keynote speakers include:
Sir David Pearson, CBE, chairs the UK government’s Social Care Sector COVID-19 Support Taskforce, and is chair of NIHR SSCR’s Advisory Board. He was Director of Adult Social Care at Nottinghamshire County Council until 2019.
Dr Ossie Stuart is an academic researcher and an independent equalities consultant. He has written seminal works on the experience of BME disabled people and social care.
Leanne Dew is Principal Research Analyst in the Science, Research and Evidence Directorate of the Department of Health and Social Care.
