Improving the management of dementia for people living in underserved areas

This project seeks to understand how to improve the management of dementia for people living across three underserved areas (those living in rural, coastal or deprived urban areas). The project consists of three work streams; a systematic review, interviews with people with dementia and/or their carers and a quantitative secondary analysis. The aims of the project include identifying services and interventions currently available for people across these areas and gaining insight into people’s experiences of living with dementia including addressing any unmet needs. The project will make recommendations for future area-specific implementations to further support people within underserved areas to live well with dementia.
