NIHR Researcher Development Programme for Social Care Nurses

The NIHR Researcher Development Programme for Social Care Nurses is delighted to announce two new funded development opportunities:

Social Care Nurse Research Internships – for nurses with some experience of research who want to build on their research skills and take the next step in their research career.

Social Care Nurse Research Champions – for nurses with little or no research experience who are curious to get involved and want to learn how to embed research into practice.

Both roles offer paid time (1 day per week for 1 year), mentorship, and practical learning to build confidence, skills and visibility of research in social care.

Who can apply?

Registered Nurses working in social care settings across England. This includes residential care, domiciliary care, supported living, community-based and specialist services. Applicants must be employed by a Department of Health and Social Care-funded organisation (e.g., VCSEs, local authorities, charities or other providers).
