Building Capacity Award: Factors that impact on telecare prescriber behaviour: evidencing current practice in statutory and non-statutory services

Madeline Naick Completed   2017

Introduction

This study examined and compared telecare prescriber practice in the local authority; and then compare this with practice in non-statutory agencies. It investigated the role of specialist staff in prescribing telecare, and an analysis of models of practice.

The purpose of this study was to explore current practice amongst practitioners when prescribing telecare. The objectives to achieve this were to:

  • identify current practice methods;
  • establish similarities or differences in practice in statutory and non-statutory services; and
  • understand the contextual and organisational impact on prescriber practice.
