How you can get involved in research

Could you share your opinions to help shape research?

There are a range of ways that you can be involved in the School.  One way is to give your views on research applications. We call people who take on this important role ‘public reviewers’.

We are looking for people who seek social care support; people using social care support and people caring for a person with social care requirements as an unpaid/informal/family carer to become public reviewers.

We will support you in your role as a public reviewer. You will be asked for feedback based on your own experience – no knowledge of research is needed – and you will be paid for your time, in line with NIHR public involvement payment guidelines.

Interesting in becoming a public reviewer?

Please complete the registration short form below to sign up to our public reviewer database. If you have any questions about public reviewing for the SSCR or problems completing the form, please get in touch with the School’s Public Involvement and Engagement contact, Martina Smith, martina.smith@sheffield.ac.uk for advice and support.
