Three PhD studentships available to start January 2023
We are pleased to be launching seven full-time PhD studentships focusing on adult social care in England with support from the NIHR Academy. These studentships will start in October 2022/January 2023. Students will receive an annual stipend, fees and research expenses. Studentships will be based at each one of our Core Member universities.
Doctoral students will be required to conduct research relevant to adult social care practice in England and in line with the School’s Business Plan.
Successful applicants will be expected to participate in activities organised by the School, particularly activities that involve other PhD students funded under this programme at other universities, and, as appropriate, other NIHR and NIHR Academy activities.
University of Manchester
This studentship is hosted by Social Care and Society, School of Health Sciences at Manchester.
Applications are sought for a PhD, using realist methodologies, establishing the context, outcome and mechanisms required for an effective and appropriate peer buddy system for older adults in prison.
The deadline for applications is 4 November 2022.
